Dr. Ackermann's Practice

The central focus of Dr. Ackermann’s practice is patient-care. He is contracted in with most Medical Schemes and therefore charges according to Medical Schemes rules. He also has an agreement with ICPS which ensures high quality care and reduces overall treatment costs.

Dr. Ackermann completed his two-year fellowship training at a prestigious university in the USA, where he gained experience in minimally invasive bone and muscle preserving precision surgery. Thereafter he worked in high volume joint replacement practices in the USA and Canada, growing his knowledge invaluably.

Dr Bennie Combrink studied medicine at the university of Stellenbosch and graduated with the class of 2003. He started specialist training in anaesthesia in the UK and worked there for 5 years before completing his studies at the University of Cape Town in 2014.

Dr Bennie Combrink joined our practice in 2014 and enjoys anaesthesia for orthopaedics, ENT and plastic surgery. In his spare time he enjoys racing 2 stoke motorcycles.

Dr Pieter Neethling

Dr Pieter Neethling is a general practitioner with a special interest in aesthetic, anti-ageing and cosmetic medicine. He graduated with a MBChB degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2010. During the following two years, he completed his internship at Tembisa Provincial Tertiary Hospital in Johannesburg, followed by a community service year at Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital. At the end of 2013, having completed all compulsory services, he was offered to stay on at Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital which led to employment as a Medical Officer for more than four years. Since then he has been working as a general practitioner.

 

During his employment at the hospital he performed and assisted in hundreds of emergency and elective gynaecological procedures. He also performed numerous minor surgical and minor orthopaedic operations.

Dr. Gerhard Hauman is a general practitioner who graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2010 where he completed his MBChB degree. He gained valuable experience during his 2 years of internship at Tembisa Tertiary Hospital in Gauteng. During 2013 he moved back to his home town of Caledon where he completed his community service year.

Still giving back to the community he moved to Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital where he worked for 5 years as a medical officer in the emergency department, outpatient department, wards as well as surgical and anaesthetic work in theatre. During this time he broadened his horizons with visits to Ireland where he worked at Letterkenny University Hospital as an Emergency medicine registrar. Currently he is working full time as a general practitioner at his practice in Table View and assists Dr Callie Ackermann (orthopedic surgeon) in theatre.
